Alex Honnold born in 17 August 1985 is an American rock climber who has starred in many documentaries like Free Solo.  

I wish to study Alex Honnold as my “Night of the Notables” person because he is very notable. Someone who is “notable” is worthy of attention and is remarkable. I believe that Alex Honnold is notable because he achieved goals that are said to be impossible. For example, he scaled a 1000 metre mountain called El Capitan in Yosemite National Park, with no equipment. This is also very inspiring, as he had to consider that if he made one little mistake he would fall to his death, but he persisted and made it. 

He decided to do this climb because he felt that he has not accomplished the “big goal” in life yet. To him, that big goal was to climb El Capitan. By studying him, I think I would be able to learn many life lessons. 

He respects himself. Once he backed down from the climb because he did not feel right. He said it was because he did not feel comfortable that many people were watching him while he climbed, and if he did fall then many people would have to witness his death. 

In conclusion, I would like to study Alex Honnold as my notable because, he is notable and he is inspiring.
